How do I create a poll in a discussion?

To create a poll, open a discussion, tap the paper clip, choose Add a pool, enter the question and the choices, then tap Save. The poll is posted in the discussion and each participant votes by switching on the answer they prefer.

  1. Open the discussion where the poll should go (see How do I use the club’s discussions?).
  2. Tap the paper clip next to the message field, then Add a pool.
  3. Under Poll details, enter the question in Title (for example “Which day for the spring outing?”).
  4. Under Settings, switch on if needed:
    • Allow multiple choices: each participant can select several answers;
    • Users can add choices: participants can suggest new answers.
  5. Under Choices, enter each answer in a Choice label field. A new field appears as soon as the previous ones are filled in; empty fields are ignored. At least one choice is required.
  6. Tap Save. You return to the discussion, where the poll appears as a message.

In the poll message, switch on the toggle next to the answer you choose. The percentage of votes is shown next to each answer and updates as others vote. If multiple choices are not allowed, selecting an answer replaces your previous one.

If the poll allows it, an Add choice… field appears below the answers. Type your suggestion and tap the add button.

Tap an answer’s label to see the list of people who chose it.
