How do I export the bookkeeping to Excel?
Open the financial year, Exports tab, and tap Download (Excel) under All transactions (the journal) or under Balance sheet (totals by category). The .xls file opens in Excel, LibreOffice or Numbers.
Download an export
Section titled “Download an export”- In Manage the club > Accounting, open the Current exercice or a year from Others exercices.
- Tap the Exports tab.
- Tap Download (Excel) under the export you want.
Each file is named after the export, the club and the financial year’s dates, so the journal and the balance sheet do not overwrite each other.
All transactions: the journal
Section titled “All transactions: the journal”The journal lists every movement of the financial year in chronological order, one per line, with:
- a sequence number, the date, label, category and customer or provider;
- the amount in a revenue or expenses column;
- the running balance, starting from the previous year’s balance;
- the currency, and two columns showing whether the movement is a donation and whether it has a receipt.
A total line at the bottom gives total revenue, total expenses and the closing balance. Headers stay visible as you scroll.
Balance sheet: the result by category
Section titled “Balance sheet: the result by category”The balance sheet shows:
- revenue by category, from largest to smallest, with the amount, number of movements and percentage share;
- expenses by category, in the same way;
- the year’s result, shown as a surplus or deficit, and the donations received if any;
- cash: previous year’s balance, result and closing balance.
This is the document to present at the annual general meeting for the financial report.
If the club uses several currencies
Section titled “If the club uses several currencies”When the financial year contains movements in several currencies, the journal gives a total per currency but no running balance, and the balance sheet has one part per currency, without the cash table. A warning at the bottom of the file says so.
