CaniClub Connect
What is CaniClub Connect?
CaniClub Connect is a web and mobile app for running dog clubs and dog businesses: memberships, training, discussions, dog logbook, shop, bookkeeping and documents. It is published by Canicompet.
Who is CaniClub Connect for?
Dog clubs and associations (obedience, agility, canicross, ring sports, scent work…), independent trainers and behaviourists, breeders and training schools.
Do I need to install an app?
No: CaniClub Connect works in the browser, on a computer or a phone. The iOS and Android apps add notifications on the phone. The interface is available in 11 languages.
Where is the data hosted?
In France, on Canicompet’s servers at OVH. Members’ data is neither sold nor used for advertising.
How is it related to Canicompet?
Canicompet publishes CaniClub Connect. The same account works in both apps, and a club can import races published on Canicompet into its calendar, with the list of its members entered.
Pricing and payments
How much does CaniClub Connect cost?
There is no subscription: every feature is included. Only online payments made in the app carry fees: €1 per payment up to €15, 8% above.
Are cheques and bank transfers charged?
No. A club can offer cheque or bank transfer for memberships, alongside or instead of online payment: no fee is taken on these payments.
Who pays the online payment fee?
The club chooses, form by form: either the fee is included in the price and deducted from what the club receives, or it is added to the amount the member pays.
How does the club receive the money?
By bank transfer to the club’s account, whose IBAN is entered in the club administration (Settlement).
Members
Do members need an account?
Yes, each member has a free account. It lets them join, answer training invitations, receive club messages and register their dogs.
Can a member belong to several clubs?
Yes. One account can join several clubs; members switch between them from the menu.
How do I handle a family’s memberships?
A parent can create linked accounts for their children or family members and switch between them, without extra email addresses.
Can I export the member list?
Yes: the season’s Excel export contains contact details, membership status, payment and every form answer, plus a sheet of former members who have not renewed.
The club
Can several people run the club?
Yes. Rights are given per area: memberships, events, bookkeeping, discussions, documents, members and dogs. The treasurer only sees the books, an instructor only the training sessions, for example.
Does CaniClub Connect replace accounting software?
For most associations, yes: it is cash-based bookkeeping (income, expenses, receipts, balance sheet by category, tax receipts for donations). It is not double-entry accrual accounting.
Can we stop using CaniClub Connect?
Yes, at any time, from the club administration. With no subscription, there is nothing to cancel. Remember to export your members and your books first.
