Open **Members**, **Dogs** tab, tap the dog, type your note at the bottom of the **Dog Details** window and tap the send arrow. Only club managers and **Members & Dogs Managers** can write in the **Diary**.

## What is the logbook for?

The logbook is the dog's follow-up at the club: training progress, instructions for the next session, an instructor's observations, photos of an exercise. Entries are listed from newest to oldest, with author and date.

The logbook also records every [tag](/en/docs/dogs/tags/) added or removed, with the person who did it.

## Add an entry

1. Open the menu, then **Members**.
2. Tap the **Dogs** tab and choose the dog (the **Search** field filters by name).
3. The **Dog Details** window opens. At the bottom, type your text in the **Message ...** field.
4. To attach photos, tap the image icon to the left of the field, then crop the photo. You can add several; tap a thumbnail to crop it again, or its cross to remove it.
5. Tap the send arrow.

The entry appears at the top of the logbook. The dog's owner receives a notification saying you added an entry to their dog's diary.

> **NOTE**
An entry cannot be edited or deleted from the app once sent: proofread before sending.

## Who can read the logbook?

The dog's profile, logbook included, can be viewed by club members who open it from the **Members** directory. Avoid writing anything the owner would not want to share with the club.

Tap a photo to see it full size in a viewer where you can swipe and zoom.

## Give an instructor the right to write

The right is granted in **Manage the club** > **User rights**, under **Members & Dogs Manager**. See [roles and rights](/en/docs/getting-started/roles-and-rights/).
