# How do I add my dog?

> Create your dog's profile in CaniClub Connect with its name, chip, breed, date of birth, sex and photo, then edit or delete it whenever needed.

Open **My profile**, then **My dogs**, and tap **Add**: fill in the dog's details and tap **Save**. The dog then appears in your list and, if you are a club member, in the club's dog directory.

## Add a dog

1. Open the menu, then tap your name at the bottom (**My profile**).
2. In the **My data** section, tap **My dogs**.
3. Tap **Add** in the action bar at the bottom of the screen.
4. Fill in the fields:
   - **Name**;
   - **Chip**: the identification number;
   - **Breed**;
   - **Birthday**;
   - **Gender**: **Male** or **Female**;
   - **Is nordic ?**: tick it for a Nordic breed.
5. Optional: under **Avatar**, tap **Take photo** to add a picture, which you can crop.
6. Tap **Save**.

Name, chip, breed, date of birth and sex are required: a message appears under any missing field.

## Edit or delete a dog

1. In **My dogs**, tap the dog's card.
2. Change the fields you need, then tap **Save**.
3. To remove the dog from your account, tap **Delete**.

If the message "The federation has validated the date of birth and the chip number" appears, those two fields can no longer be changed; the others remain editable.

## What the "My dogs" list shows

Each card shows the dog's photo, name and date of birth. When the dog is registered for events, their names appear after **Registrations**. If you have no dog yet, the page says "You don't have any dogs yet".

## Who else can edit the profile?
